This past week, our founder and CEO, Kevin Eichelberger, gave a presentation to the College of Charleston’s MBA students. His lecture explained how he grew Blue Acorn from an idea in a one-bedroom apartment to an Inc. 5000 company with over 120 employees. “While our success is tied to the success of our clients,” said Kevin, “Blue Acorn owes much of its growth to its employees.” Thanks to both, Blue Acorn recently won two awards recognizing our growth.
As Kevin explained in his lecture, it’s easy to assume that an eCommerce agency employs developers only. However, it takes a diverse team to make Blue Acorn successful. Account managers, salespeople, human resources, marketers and process managers are arguably as important as developers.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of all its employees, Blue Acorn was recently honored with two awards. Each recognized our growth within the state of South Carolina. SC Biz News’ Roaring Twenties named Blue Acorn the sixth fastest-growing small company in the state, based on a three-year growth rate. Meanwhile, the Capital Corporation named Blue Acorn number fourteen on its fourteenth annual list of South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Companies.
Kevin ended his presentation with this piece of advice: never stop learning and always solve problems. Blue Acorn will certainly follow this advice as we look to continue growing alongside our clients.
