Recording a three-year growth rate of 386%, Blue Acorn is ranked No. 1110 on Inc. Magazine’s 34th Annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list also names Blue Acorn the thirteenth fastest-growing company in South Carolina.
Earning a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 was no easy feat. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent. This year, the average company on the list achieved an unprecedented three-year growth of 490%, making 2015 the most competitive year in history.
“Continued growth, year over year, is only possible with a great team of committed employees. The dedicated team at Blue Acorn continues to deliver results to our clients. Successful clients are happy clients, which translates to our success as a company,” said Kevin Eichelberger, Founder & CEO of Blue Acorn.
As Blue Acorn has matured, their three-year growth rate has leveled out to just 386%, from 566% in 2014, and from 975% in 2013. The company’s steady growth will continue, and plans are in place to bring in more talent to Charleston. In 2014, Blue Acorn’s staff doubled in size, and will double again by mid 2016.
Additional staff also means more office space for Blue Acorn. The company’s second building, located just across Williman Street, is scheduled to open early fall 2015. The repurposed warehouse’s eco-friendly redesign will accommodate 60 employees, including the business development and optimization teams.
